beGentle  |  Great for Beginners! | UNHEATED
Whether you are new to yoga or prefer to use yoga in a gentle and therapeutic way, this class is for you! Our instructors will guide you through calming and grounding seated poses, a select number of thoughtful and supportive standing poses, in a format that includes no “flow” (flow = a sequence of quickly performed poses, linked by breath). You will explore the heart of yoga; the breath-work and the fundamentals. You will learn pose names, use props to support your experience, and learn specific modifications to make yoga a practice that works for YOU. The environment is warm and friendly and questions are welcome. This class is 60 minutes and is unheated (natural room temp is between 78-80 degrees). 

beFree Flow  |  Power 3131
If you’re looking for a strong, hot, powerful class, look no further. Combining vinyasa flow (movement connected by breath) and power yoga, this class will have you moving quickly and often. Your breath will end up deep and steady. You will sweat (a lot!). You will work hard and play hard. Our radiant heat panels will leave you feeling wrung out and simultaneously rejuvenated – a combo that creates that famous yoga buzz! This class is heated to around 88-90 degrees.   

beGrounded  |  Great for Beginners!  31
A beautifully sequenced class that is guaranteed to leave you feeling stretched, open, and delicious – and give your busy brain a break as well. In this class you will warm up, learn where your edge is (and how to play with it safely), and become familiar with traditional vinyasa sequencing. It is appropriate for the basic to intermediate practitioner, and will be heated to the low/mid 80’s.  

Yoga Tune-Up | Great for Beginners! | UNHEATED

This class offers a chance for ANY student, from brand-new beginner to lifetime yogi, to fine-tune their practice with specific cues for foundational poses and beyond. The more we practice, the more we love this kind of class, and hope you do too. This class is offered M/W at 9am and is unheated (natural room temp is between 78-80 degrees).

beAligned  |  31
Slowing it down never felt so good – this 90 minute class is all about developing a truly delicious slow burn. The slower pace and more meticulous alignment cueing, deep core work and deep muscle work will leave you feeling challenged, lengthened, strengthened, and steady. This class will be heated to the low 80’s and is perfect for those who are desiring a deeper connection with their yoga practice, both body and soul.  

beCalm  |  Great for Beginners! | UNHEATED
This class is designed to help restore, renew and heal the body. Using only seated poses with long holds and props galore allows the body to truly relax and release long-held tightness. Meditation and breath are key elements of this class, where you can expect to use bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps and sandbags. beCalm is suitable for all levels, is the perfect way to end any stressful day, and the ideal set up for a soothing night’s rest. The class is completely unheated, and we are happy to provide a cold, lavender-scented towel on request for additional relaxation.

Meditation for Beginners  |  Great for Beginners!
This 20 minute session will give the practitioner a true introduction to meditation – without the scariness sometimes associated with that word. Pleasant, gentle stimuli like music and pranyama (breath work) will be used to help find and maintain a soft and gentle focus. This session follows a morning asana practice, so that you may experience the true purpose of asana – to calm the body and mind in preparation for meditation. However, you are more than welcome to attend this class whether you attend the asana class or not. All are welcome, and the room will be unheated.

Kirtan Meditation  |  Great for Beginners!
A beautiful, meditative experience set to the sounds of song and the harmonium. Spend some down-time (seated or supine), and allow your brain to relax as music and breath work together to cultivate a special space. All are welcome, and no experience is necessary. The room will always be unheated for Kirtan.

SEASONAL/SPECIAL CLASS OFFERINGS:

Yoga Meltdown  |  3131
Prepare to engage all your senses – this class is the PERFECT way to head into your weekend. A rockin’ playlist, a room glowing from within from our special beFree mood lighting, healing oils in the diffuser, and very minimal instruction will allow you to dive deep within and experience your practice in a truly magical way. Because this class is designed for YOU to practice with all your senses alight, the instructor will be there as a (mostly) silent guide. This class is best if  you feel comfortable with basic poses so that you can truly (and safely) enjoy this experience. The room will be heated to the upper 80’s.

beFree Prenatal  |  all trimesters
It is an honor to lead mamas through the the varying phases of pregnancy – the stretching, the anxiety, the nausea, those first kicks, and that crazy heartburny JOY. Step by step, phase by phase, with compassion and care. Postnatal mamas are welcome as well – this class is perfect for nurturing yourself through that “4th trimester” – the all nighters, the nursing, the sleeplessness, the excitement and the fear. So much to process! Let’s do it together :)

beFree Kids  |  best for ages 4-11
This 60 minute playful class encourages self-expression and builds social skills as well as improving strength, flexibility and coordination. Children will strengthen their bodies as they learn how to focus through breathing and relaxation techniques. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, lots of yoga games, breathing and basic anatomy. beFree Kids is best suited for ages 4-11.

If you’re experiencing back pain or tightness from sitting at an office desk all day, here’s some good news: Planks can help improve your posture!

By strengthening your back, chest, shoulders, neck, and abs, this exercise makes it easier to keep your shoulders back and your lower back in a neutral position while sitting or standing — two vital components of good posture.

Planks also help you develop isometric strength in your core muscles, which gives you the power to keep from hunching while standing or sitting for long periods of time.

Additionally, planks are a great way to stretch out the lower half of your body.

Getting into the hold position lengthens your hamstrings as well as the arches of your feet, making the plank pose a dual strength and stretch exercise.

Planks are also one of the easiest poses to modify; by putting forearms or knees (or both!) down, you can change the impact on joints while you strengthen surrounding musculature. 💙💙💙
